
DALLAS, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- A 13-year-old Texas boy accused of slaying his 12-year-old girlfriend's parents had a juvenile court hearing in Dallas Tuesday.
The Dallas Morning News reported the judge in the capital murder case is on vacation and the youth, charged in the shooting deaths of Darlene and Alan Nevil of Garland, is to have a second hearing Sept. 16.
Records from the hearing, held in the Henry Wade Juvenile Justice Center, are not being made public, the News said.
Darlene Nevil's 12-year-old daughter also is charged in the case and is to have a pretrial hearing Thursday.
If convicted of capital murder, the young suspects could be sent to prison for as much as 40 years.
Darlene Nevil was found shot to death in her Garland home. Alan Nevil suffered multiple gunshots wounds Aug. 17 and died in a hospital Sept. 2.
