DENVER, Aug. 29 (UPI) -- A Las Vegas-Milwaukee flight had to land in Denver when a passenger died of a heart attack on board, a Denver International Airport spokeswoman said.
The plane landed around 2:45 a.m. Saturday and was met by emergency medical personnel, KMGH-TV, Denver, reported.
The Denver medical examiner said the passenger was Stephen Endes, 64, of Elmhurst, N.Y. He was traveling with his wife when he suffered an apparent heart attack. He had a history of cardiac problems and died of natural causes, the medical examiner said.
Witnesses said a passenger tried CPR on Endes and the crew used the portable defibrillator, but to no avail.
Police interviewed passengers before letting the AirTran flight continue to Milwaukee. The plane took off around 6:30 a.m.
