Patricia Carrion, 37, will not face charges in The Bronx, the New York Post reported. Her 30-year-old boyfriend, allegedly assaulted early Saturday morning, refused to cooperate with police.
But Carrion is being held for extradition to Connecticut. Police there say she pumped four bullets into a 20-year-old man in Meriden in 1995 in an apparent dispute over drug turf. He survived in spite of being shot at point-blank range.
Police in The Bronx said Carrion claimed to be named Yesima Hernandez. But her fingerprints matched those of the woman wanted for the 1995 shooting.
During her years as a fugitive, Carrion was featured on the Fox TV show "America's Most Wanted."
