ALBUQUERQUE, July 29 (UPI) -- A North Carolina woman says she was held against her will in Albuquerque as a "sex slave" by a man she met on an Internet chat site.
The 18-year-old, who authorities did not name, said she met a man called "T" who offered to fly her from North Carolina to Albuquerque to escape from her allegedly abusive step-grandfather, the Albuquerque Journal reported Thursday.
But once in "T's" home in Albuquerque, she said, she was held against her will, forced to pose in underwear for photos later posted online as part of an escort advertisement, and forced to have sex with a stranger for $200, the newspaper reported.
After being held for a number of days, the woman escaped and called police.
When officers arrived they did not find "T" but arrested Elizabeth Kay Gade, 23, a woman police identified as his girlfriend.
She is in custody charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment and promoting prostitution, police said.
