ATLANTA, July 26 (UPI) -- A postal worker at an Atlanta mail-processing facility was arrested for allegedly assaulting and stabbing a supervisor, authorities said.

The supervisor, whose name was not released, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with stab wounds to his face, ear and back, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Monday.

The victim was conscious and breathing when taken to the hospital, police said.

Police arrested Claudius Mapp, 43, of Covington, Ga., at the mail facility and charged him with aggravated assault.

The motive for the stabbing was unknown and Mapp refused to talk to investigators, the Journal-Constitution reported.
