Body in Camden ID'd as missing woman

CAMDEN, N.J., July 19 (UPI) -- Authorities confirmed Monday a body found in New Jersey during the weekend is that of missing Pennsylvania woman Jenna Lord.

Lord, 23, Collingsdale, disappeared while on her way home from a July 4 family gathering in southern New Jersey.

Lord was last seen at a train station in Camden July 5. Her body turned up Sunday in a vacant lot in Camden.

The Camden Courier Post said an autopsy was conducted Monday but the cause of the woman's death was not released.

The woman's body was found by an uncle who was searching the area, which is plagued by crime and drug addicts.

Family members expressed bitterness that police had not put much effort into the search and had written Lord off as a junkie. Camden police denied the allegations and told the Philadelphia Daily News officers had been actively investigating Lord's disappearance at the time the body was discovered.
