SREBRENICA, Bosnia-Herzegovina, July 11 (UPI) -- Coffins bore the remains of 775 recently identified victims of the Srebrenica massacre Sunday at a ceremony marking its15th anniversary, observers said.

Tens of thousands of people turned out at Potocari cemetery in the largest Srebrenica funeral yet, the BBC reported.

President Boris Tadic of Serbia, which passed a resolution in March condemning the 1995 atrocity and saying Belgrade should have done more to prevent it, attended the ceremony, Radio France Internationale reported. Also attending were Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner and Belgian Prime Minister Yves Leterme.

Bosnian Serb troops killed more than 7,000 Muslim men and boys in the Srebrenica massacre, the worst post-World War II atrocity in Europe.

The new graves will join those of nearly 4,000 victims of the massacre already buried at the cemetery.

RFI said the victims had been shot and buried in mass graves, then reburied later in more than 70 sites in an attempt to cover up evidence. DNA testing identified the remains of nearly 6,500 people, the French broadcaster said.

In a statement, U.S. President Barack Obama called the massacre an "unimaginable tragedy" and said fugitive Bosnian Serb wartime military commander Radko Maldic must be brought to justice.
