NASHVILLE, June 22 (UPI) -- Authorities say they've found no evidence of foul play in the death of two Nashville residents found dead in their car in a Wal-Mart parking lot.
Jamella Finnie, 31, and her stepfather Craig Townsend, 51, reported missing last week, were found by an employee early Sunday in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market, The (Nashville) Tennessean reported.
Authorities say Townsend may have had a medical emergency while in the car that caused his death.
Finnie, who was mentally ill and suffered from hypoglycemia and seizures, was also discovered dead in Townsend's car. Police said they believe Finnie, who required life-sustaining medicine, couldn't get out of the car because of her physical and mental limits.
Initial autopsies revealed no suspicious injuries, Metro Police spokesman Don Aaron said, but "the causes of death are not yet apparent." Investigators were awaiting more test results, he said.
Finnie and Townsend were reported missing Wednesday by Finnie's mother Gwenn Townsend.
Surveillance video from the Wal-Mart showed Townsend's car pulling into the parking lot Wednesday afternoon, parking in a spot away from the store's entrance, The Tennessean reported.
