CHICAGO, June 22 (UPI) -- A Chicago teacher is facing felony charges for allegedly using his cellphone to take videos of undressed males in an amusement park locker room, police say.

Public schools teacher Jaime Jimenez, 39, of Chicago, whom police described as a "video voyeur," allegedly took cellphone videos of men in various stages of undress in a locker room at Six Flags Great America amusement park in Gurnee Saturday, the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Daily Herald reported.

An off-duty Lake County police officer, 25, was in a locker room stall when he noticed someone holding a cellphone under the door. The officer confronted the suspect and caught him after a short foot chase, police said.

Video recordings on the phone allegedly revealed images of undressed males, the newspapers said.

Gurnee and Chicago police said they searched Jimenez's apartment and took away computers, cameras and other computer equipment for analysis.

Chicago school officials "are working with the investigation," police said.

Jimenez was charged with making unauthorized video recordings and live video transmission of undressed males. He was being held in lieu of $20,000 bail, police said.
