Obama to honor Conn. women's NCAA champs

WASHINGTON, May 17 (UPI) -- The University of Connecticut's women's basketball team, NCAA champs for two straight years, will be honored by President Obama Monday, the White House said.

Obama welcomes the Huskies to the Rose Garden, where he will deliver remarks, the White House said. Not only did the Huskies claim their second championship trophy, they also completed their second undefeated season.

Obama also will sign the Freedom of Press Act .
