KANSAS CITY, Mo., April 23 (UPI) -- Two men have been charged with kidnapping a Kansas City, Mo., woman who later escaped by locking herself in a McDonald's bathroom, authorities said.

Regino Vasquez-Martinez, 33, of Kansas City, and Raul Ortiz-Caseres, 22, of Mount Holly, N.J., were charged with felony kidnapping in the alleged abduction of the 25-year-old woman, the Belleview (Ill.) News-Democrat reported Friday.

She was allegedly taken from her home in Kansas City Tuesday and driven to Illinois, where she locked herself in the bathroom of a Fairview Heights McDonalds where she called her sister.

The McDonald's manager notified police, and the two suspects were arrested in the restaurant's parking lot, the newspaper said.

The kidnapping charges were filed in Jackson County, Mo., the News-Democrat reported.

Vasquez-Martinez and Ortiz-Caseres are being held in lieu of $150,000 bail.
