LBJ's daughter hospitalized at Mayo Clinic

ROCHESTER, Minn., April 17 (UPI) -- Luci Baines Johnson was transferred Friday from a hospital in Austin, Texas, to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota to be tested for Guillain-Barre syndrome.

Johnson, the younger daughter of the late U.S. President Lyndon Baines Johnson, was admitted Wednesday to the Seton Medical Center in Austin with symptoms of weakness, CNN reported Saturday.

Guillain-Barre syndrome is a rare autoimmune disorder that affects the nervous system. Johnson was in excellent health with no prior symptoms.

Johnson's husband and her older sister, Lynda Bird Johnson Robb, were with her at the Minnesota medical center.
