MESA, Ariz., March 27 (UPI) -- Former GOP running mates John McCain and Sarah Palin were to team again Saturday in Arizona to rally support for McCain's senatorial re-election bid.

Friday's event drew an estimated 5,000 people to the Pima County Fairgrounds in Palin and McCain's first appearance since the 2008 presidential campaign.

Palin and McCain said they were reuniting to stand against what they called the big-government agenda of the Obama administration, The Arizona Republic reported Saturday.

"I think this go-round, when all of the votes are tallied, I think he's going to win this one," Palin told the crowd of McCain's primary race against former U.S. Rep. J.D. Hayworth, also a Republican.

"Only dead fish go with the flow," Palin said, assuring the crowd McCain would fight against the healthcare overhaul passed by congressional Democrats.
