Barbara Bush hospitalized in Houston

HOUSTON, March 27 (UPI) -- Former first lady Barbara Bush was hospitalized in Houston on Saturday for non-emergency testing.

Mrs. Bush was driven to Methodist Hospital in Houston by former President Gorge H.W. Bush Saturday after reporting she "hasn't been feeling like herself for about a week," Jean Becker, former President George H.W. Bush's chief of staff, told the Houston Chronicle.

"She really isn't in any pain, and she's in excellent spirits. She just hasn't been feeling like herself, and the doctor just decided the best thing would be to check her in.

"We definitely don't think it's serious. The doctors are just trying to pinpoint what's going on. … It wasn't an emergency," Becker said. She expects Mrs. Bush will be released in a day or two.
