LOS ANGELES, March 19 (UPI) -- The owner of the Los Angeles-area house where "octomom" Nadya Suleman and her 14 children live says he has not received a promised down payment.
Amer Haddadin said he did Suleman and her family a favor by agreeing to sell them the house in La Habra for $450,000 and receive no money for the first year, The Los Angeles Times reported. He described himself as "the kids' savior" by providing a home for Suleman.
Suleman's father promised to make a down payment within a year, Haddadin said. Now, he is considering foreclosure.
"What they are doing is not right, and I am going to take them to court," he told KABC-TV. "They are not cooperating with me."
Suleman, who is unmarried, became famous -- or notorious -- when she gave birth in January 2009 to octuplets. Like her previous six children, the octuplets were conceived through in vitro fertilization.
A spokesman released a statement saying Haddadin's dispute involves her father and she might be "the victim" of it.
