Man sought in son's death found dead

AVENTURA, Fla., March 12 (UPI) -- Police in Florida said a man found dead of an apparent suicide was a "person of interest" in the investigation of his 10-year-old son's death.

Investigators said Erasmo Moreno, 72, of Aventura, was found dead at 1:50 a.m. Friday of a gunshot wound detectives believe to be self-inflicted, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.

Officers said Moreno's body was found in his 2005 Jeep in the parking lot of Tony Roma's restaurant in Sunny Isles Beach.

Moreno had been sought by police as a "person of interest" in the Thursday shooting death of his son, whose name was not released. The boy was found dead in his home by his mother at 3:45 p.m.
