FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., March 9 (UPI) -- A federal judge has denied a Florida woman access to her slain husband's car collection, including a replica Batmobile.
Narcissa Novack's attempt to take title to the vehicles Monday was foiled by a sealed warrant allowing the FBI to seize them, The Miami Herald reported.
Ben Novack, 53, son of the builder and owner of the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, was shot and killed July 12 in the couple's room in a Hilton hotel in Rye, N.Y. Police have made no arrests, although they have suggested his widow is a suspect, the report said.
The case is being investigated by the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York.
The Novacks lived in Fort Lauderdale, and Narcissa Novack, known as Narcy, continues to spend time there. the report said. Last month, a probate judge in Broward County ordered her to post a $5 million bond in order to take control of her husband's estate.
The warrants signed Monday give the FBI the right to seize classic cars, including a a 1957 Ford Thunderbird and a 1970 Jaguar XKE, as well as the Batmobile, a 1977 Lincoln converted to a replica using the mold used for the car in the 1960s TV series.
