Transcripts ordered in stripper case

DETROIT, March 9 (UPI) -- A judge has ordered the city of Detroit to produce transcripts of 911 tapes related to an alleged assault against a stripper by the wife of the former mayor.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Steven Whalen Monday gave the city 14 days to produce the transcripts, sought by the family of stripper Tamara Greene, the Detroit News reported Tuesday.

Green was fatally shot in Detroit April 30, 2003. Her homicide case is unsolved.

She may have been assaulted in the fall of 2002 by Carlita Kilpatrick, the wife of former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, during a rumored stripper party at Manoogian Mansion, the mayor's official home, court documents alleged.

Greene's family is suing Kwame Kilpatrick and police and city officials for allegedly obstructing the investigation into her death. Kilpatrick and the other defendants have denied any wrongdoing.
