The incident occurred about 8:45 a.m. at the Huda School and Montessori School, which has 310 students.

The vehicle went through a wall of windows into a classroom where 17 students ages 3-4 were eating snacks, injuring the four children who were taken to the hospital suffering bruises and cuts, The Detroit News said. Two other children were hurt but did not need hospital treatment.

At the time of the incident a parent meeting was going on, police said. Two of the parents at the meeting were doctors who helped with the children, the Detroit Free Press said.

There will also be psychological help.

"We're going to provide counseling to the children on Wednesday," Principal Azra Ali said.
