BALTIMORE, March 4 (UPI) -- A fire official in Baltimore said three people were killed early Thursday morning in a rowhouse fire in the city's Parkview/Woodbrook neighborhood.

Baltimore fire department spokesman Chief Kevin Cartwright said the fire took place in a three-story brick house, The Baltimore Sun reported.

The identities, genders and ages of the victims were not released.

Cartwright said the blaze was deemed a three-alarm fire before eventually being brought under control by firefighters. None of the firefighters were injured.

Cartwright told the Sun the cause of the deadly fire is under investigation.
