LAS VEGAS, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Las Vegas police say a dentist collected video of women in states of undress by installing a spy camera in the bathroom of his dental office.

Dr. Mahesh Patel was arrested after a female employee informed authorities the dentist allegedly hid a small video camera inside a tissue holder in his practice's bathroom, the Las Vegas Sun reported Tuesday.

The employee said she noticed the camera while changing in the bathroom. She told authorities after confronting Patel, the dentist eventually admitted he was using the camera to spy on her.

Authorities said a search warrant led to the discovery of videos that allegedly showed Patel, 45, setting up the hidden camera. Additional recordings allegedly showed a second woman in states of undress inside the bathroom.

Patel is facing a misdemeanor count of capturing the image of the private area of another person, the Sun said.
