Mich. farmers donate 576,000 eggs to Haiti

IONIA, Mich., Feb. 19 (UPI) -- A group of eight Michigan farmers said they collected 576,000 eggs to donate to a charity sending food to survivors of the Haiti earthquake.

The farmers gathered Thursday at Herbruck's Poultry Ranch near Ionia, Mich., to crack the eggs and extract the 48,000 pounds of liquid, the Detroit Free Press reported Friday.
