PALATKA, Fla., Feb. 18 (UPI) -- The former stepmother of missing Florida child Haleigh Cummings was transferred Thursday to a jail in Putnam County, Fla., records show.
The Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel said Misty Crolin, 18, was transferred from St. Johns County jail to Putnam County Jail, three weeks after she was arrested on multiple drug trafficking charges.
Also arrested on charges related to the alleged sale of prescription drugs was Crolin's former husband, Ronald Cummings; Croslin's brother, Hank "Tommy" Croslin, Jr.; friend Donna Brock and Cummings' cousin, Hope A. Sykes.
Croslin was 17 when she became the last person to see Haleigh Cummings alive before the 5-year-old disappeared on Feb. 10, 2009.
Croslin, who was babysitting Cummings and the girl's young brother the night of her disappearance, insists she does not know the missing girl's whereabouts.
The Sentinel said following Cummings' disappearance, Croslin and the girl's father were married and later divorced.
