TYLER, Texas, Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Federal agents released sketches and descriptions Friday of three young men seen around churches that have burned in Texas since New Year's Day.

Robert Champion of the Dallas Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms asked for public help in identifying and finding the men, The Athens (Texas) Review reported.

"We have eyewitnesses that have seen these men in and around the churches that were burned, but right now all we have are drawings," Champion said. "We need the help of local citizens to be on the lookout for these men. We are totally committed to finding these criminals and stopping these fires."

The series of fires began Jan. 1 when Faith Church in Athens was gutted. Grace Community Church and Lake Athens Baptist burned Jan. 11.

A total of 10 church fires are being investigated as arson in the area. In addition to Athens, fires have been set in Tyler, Lindale, Wills Point and Carroll.
