NEW YORK, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- A New York man will spend 25 years to life in prison for using a 19-year-old woman as a sex slave, a judge says.
The New York Daily News reported Tuesday that Queens Supreme Court Justice Michael Aloise sentenced David Brown, 32, to prison after Brown was convicted on charges ranging from sex trafficking to kidnapping.
Authorities said Brown bought his 19-year-old victim from a former girlfriend for $2,000 and forced the homeless teen to have sex with 30 men during a period of 12 days in August 2008.
In addition, Brown took nude photographs of the woman and posted the photos online as part of his prostitution efforts.
The Daily News said while Brown attempted to portray his former girlfriend as the guilty part in the sex slave case, Aloise offered the defendant stern words during sentencing.
"You are a conman of the first order," Aloise told Brown. "I'm going to do my best to insure that you never see the light of day again."
