The victims, whose names were not released, said they were standing in a crowd near Iberville and Bourbon streets when they heard gunshots and realized they had been hit, police said.

The crowd was one of many that filled the French Quarter on and off until dawn after the New Orleans Saints won their first Super Bowl.

Groups of revelers dressed in the Saints' colors -- black and gold -- threw confetti, sang, danced, marched and blew bubbles, the Times-Picayune reported.
