Cable TV news station Bay News 9 said the victims were identified as Vincent Thomas, 22, who lived at the residence, Tony Black, 22, of Brandon, and Rafael Guadalupe, 21, of Tampa. Authorities said Thomas and Black had been shot and Guadalupe was stabbed to death.

A fourth victim, Ralph Arroyo, 21, was reportedly battered at the scene.

Deputies told Bay News 9 that the men were in the back yard when a red Mustang pulled up, suspects came out of the car and went to the back yard where a fight broke out. The suspects later left the home and fled northbound in the car, officials said.

Sheriff David Gee told the broadcaster the victims may have been involved in gang activity.
