JONES, Okla., Dec. 20 (UPI) -- The 18th earthquake of at least a 2.5 magnitude in Oklahoma County this year struck near Jones, Okla., the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The 3.0 magnitude quake occurred Saturday and, as with the others, there were no reported injuries or damage, The Oklahoman reported.

Five or fewer earthquakes of 2.5 magnitude have hit statewide in a typical year since the 1970s, the newspaper said.

Quakes of 2.5 magnitude or higher in the region are generally felt by people, the Oklahoma Geological Survey said.
