Mother said Josh Powell threatened her
WASHINGTON, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, a conservative, paired with U.S. Rep Barney Frank, a gay liberal, to entertain journalists at Washington's Gridiron Club.
"Sometimes you got to trust your instincts, and if you don't, you end up in a place like this," Palin, the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate, told a crowd of 195 at the Gridiron's Winter Dinner Saturday night.
Palin attended the dinner after a stop in Fairfax, Va., to promote her book, "Going Rogue: An American Life."
Frank, D-Mass., was the feature of a biography released in September -- "Barney Frank: The Story of America's Only Left-Handed, Gay, Jewish Congressman" by Stuart Weisberg.
In a shot at her former running mate, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., Palin wise-cracked about feeling betrayed by Republican campaign operatives:
"The view is so much better inside the bus than under the bus," Palin said, referencing her book tour, Politico said.
