EL PASO, Texas, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Four El Paso, Texas, school districts and the University of Texas-El Paso said Tuesday classes were delayed due to the threat of snow.
Forecasters had predicted heavy snow overnight and through Tuesday afternoon, with 4 to 8 inches expected, the National Weather Service said.

Among the school jurisdictions to start classes late were the Socorro, El Paso, Ysleta and Canutillo districts, the newspaper reported, while UTEP and El Paso Community College officials saying Monday their institutions would also open late.
