MIAMI, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- South Florida was ripe for wild fires Friday, the National Weather Service in Miami warned, citing strong winds, low humidity and warm temperatures.
Forecasters said the fire threat is bolstered by minimum afternoon "relative humidity values and strong northwest flow in the transport layer," the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.
The weather service said the red flag warning would end Friday evening as a strong cold front pushes to the southeast, away from the region.
