Chicago family of four found dead in home

CHICAGO, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- The deaths of four family members found slain in their suburban Chicago home Wednesday were being probed as a possible triple murder-suicide, police said.

Officers arrived at the home in Addison in response to a 6:30 a.m. 911 call from the house, and found the bodies of a man, woman and two pre-teen boys, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

The 911 call was from the woman found dead, the newspaper said. WBBM-AM in Chicago reported sources said apparent gunshots could be heard in the background of the emergency call.

The identity of the victims and the cause of death had not been released by the DuPage County Coroner's office, the Sun-Times reported. Autopsies are scheduled for Thursday, WBBM said.

The matter is "isolated to this address," a police statement said, and "area residents should not be alarmed that further acts of violence will occur."

The boys were about 12 and 8 years old, sources told WBBM.
