POQUOSON, Va., Nov. 23 (UPI) -- A 14-year-old boy in Poquoson, Va., reportedly died after being pulled into a wood chipper during a storm cleanup effort.

The Newport News (Va.) Daily Press reported Monday the high school freshman, whose identity was not released, was helping clean up debris from a storm when his shovel got caught in the chipper.

The teenager died instantly upon being dragged into the chipper, the Daily Press said.

In the wake of the Sunday's deadly accident, the Poquoson high school and middle school are making grief counselors available to all students.
