CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Former U.S. President George W. Bush said Thursday an oral history of his presidency will be conducted by a center at the University of Virginia.
The former president said in a statement the Miller Center of Public Affairs at the Charlottesville, Va., university will hold detailed accounts of his presidency, The Richmond (Va.) Times-Dispatch reported.
"I am delighted that the Miller Center of Public Affairs will record for history detailed interviews with key members of my administration," Bush said.
"This oral history project will offer future generations a comprehensive look at what it was like to lead the country during some extraordinary challenges."
The George W. Bush Oral History Project does not mark the first time the University of Virginia center was tasked with conducting extensive interview projects regarding former presidents.
The Times-Dispatch said the Miller Center also conducted similar projects regarding the presidential terms of former U.S. Presidents Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton.
