ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 11 (UPI) -- A University of Central Florida student accused of making a false bomb threats is no longer in jail.
Cory Gene Carr, 31, was released early Wednesday after posting $5,250 bond, the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel reported.
Carr was arrested Tuesday night on charges of making a false report of a bomb on state property and interfering with the educational process, a university spokesman said.
The incident began when students overheard Carr making statements about a bomb while walking through a university classroom building, the spokesman said.
A search of the building and nearby parking garage failed to turn up any sign of an explosive device.
In addition to police charges, Carr faces a hearing before the university disciplinary board.
