MIAMI, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- A former Miami stripper testified her priest boyfriend threatened to have robed monks kill her if she revealed the couple had a baby together.
The allegation was among the bizarre highlights of a domestic violence hearing for the Rev. David Dueppen that took place in Miami-Dade Family Court Tuesday.
Beatrice Hernandez alleged Dueppen threatened to have a hit team of monks in brown robes shoot her and make her disappear if she told the church about their love child.
The Miami Herald reported Dueppen's attorney fired back with contentions that Hernandez, 41, had lied about having a baby boy in 2006, but then actually gave birth 11 months ago to a girl, Marilyn Epiphany, whom she claimed was Dueppen's.
The newspaper Wednesday described the hearing as a draw with Judge Carroll Kelly dismissing a restraining order after both sides agreed to stay away from each other while custody of the child is decided.
Dueppen, 42, remained on leave of absence from his parish in Pembroke Pines.
