CHICAGO, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Playboy magazine alleges in a lawsuit against a Chicago lawyer she is attempting to steal a catch-phrase made popular by the adult publication.
The Chicago Tribune said Wednesday divorce attorney Corri Fetman, who briefly wrote an online Playboy advice column, is accused to trying to steal "Lawyer of Love" from Playboy despite waiving all rights to the phrase.
Fetman, who modeled for Playboy in addition to her Playboy.com article, filed a U.S. Patent and Trademark application in August in an attempt to officially register "Lawyer of Love."
Fetman is currently writing a blog titled "Love Lawyer" for the Chicago Now Web site.
In March, Fetman filed a sexual harassment claim against Playboy Enterprises executive Thomas Hagopian, alleging she lost her Playboy writing job in July 2008 after she rejected his sexual advances. The claim is pending in Cook County Circuit Court.
The Tribune said Playboy alleges Fetman wants to use "Lawyer of Love" to capitalize on Playboy's reputation. The company is seeking unspecified monetary damages as well as a temporary restraining order.
