LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Nov. 11 (UPI) -- A jury in Arkansas Wednesday found Curtis Lavelle Vance guilty of capital murder in the slaying of Little Rock TV anchorwoman Anne Pressly.
The jury deliberated for a little more than two hours before finding Vance guilty on all four counts against him, which also included rape, residential burglary and property theft, CNN reported. Pressly, 26, was found raped and beaten in her home in October 2008 and died five days later.
She was a morning news anchor on CNN affiliate KATV-TV, Little Rock.
Vance, 29, pleaded innocent but prosecutors linked him to the crime through DNA evidence, CNN said. Vance has also been connected through DNA evidence to an April 2008 rape in Marianna, Ark., about 90 miles east of Little Rock, police said.
A hearing was to begin Wednesday to determine whether he is sentenced to life in prison or the death penalty.
