

SIOUX CITY, Iowa, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Former Republican U.S. vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin is heading to Iowa on her book tour, its promoters say.
Bookstore chain Barnes and Noble revealed on on its Web site Tuesday that Palin would stop in Sioux City, Iowa, on Dec. 6 to talk about her newly published memoir, "Going Rogue: An American Life," CNN reported Tuesday.
The U.S. broadcaster said any appearance by potential presidential candidates in Iowa stirs interest because of the state's status as the site of the earliest presidential primary caucuses. Sioux City is one of the prime locations in Iowa's conservative northwestern sector.
Another possible 2012 GOP presidential hopeful, former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, visited three bookstores in eastern and central Iowa last weekend, while Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty addressed a major Republican Party dinner in the state on Saturday, CNN noted.
