JACKSONVILLE, N.C., Nov. 6 (UPI) -- A 21-year-old U.S. Marine private was arrested Friday for allegedly stabbing a fellow Marine to death at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, officials said.
Capt. Timothy Patrick, spokesman for the 2nd Marine Logistics Group, said military authorities had detained Pvt. Jonathan Law, 21, for killing the Marine, whose identity had not been released, Navy Times reported.
Patrick said Law was taken to a hospital, but the reason was unclear.
Meanwhile, investigators would not specify where on the Marine base the recent killing occurred.
Navy Times said Law, who enlisted in the Marines in August 2006, served in Iraq between August 2007 and March 2008.
