Moderate quake felt off Oregon coast

PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 4 (UPI) -- A 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck in the Pacific Ocean off the Oregon Coast early Wednesday, seismologists said.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the moderate quake, felt at 4:38 a.m., was centered about 121 miles west of Bandon, Ore., and 294 miles from Portland, Ore., The (Portland) Oregonian reported.

It said no tsunami warnings were issued.
