PHOENIX, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Arizona authorities say they do not know how long luggage thefts have been going on at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Earlier this week, police arrested two suspects on suspicion of stealing 1,000 pieces of luggage from airport carousels, The Arizona Republic reports.

Keith King, 61, and Stacy Legg King, 38, were booked on counts of theft of property and possession of stolen property.

Police reportedly found many suitcases, some empty and some with clothing still in them, when they executed a search warrant at the Kings' home in Waddell, Ariz.

A neighbor told police he bought dozens of videos at yard sales the Kings would hold. He said they had many pieces of luggage for sale.

Police say they do not know whether any other people were involved in the thefts.
