According to TCPalm, Jocelyn allegedly held the weapon to the 16-year-old's face and threatened to cut him in a dispute over house work.
The youth locked himself and his 17-year-old brother in a bedroom and called police.
Jocelyn told police she was, indeed, holding a machete during the argument, but had been doing yard work and had not threatened her son.
