Obama, Dems, Wall Street bigwigs fundraise

WASHINGTON, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- President Barack Obama goes to New York for two fundraisers -- one a dinner for about 200 and the other for people willing to make phone calls for healthcare.

The Democratic Party fundraising dinner Tuesday will be for about for about 200 donors, each paying the legal maximum of $30,400 and allowed to bring one person, The New York Times said.

Obama also will speak at a second fundraiser where about 2,500 donors who paid up to $1,000 will make phone calls to promote his healthcare initiative, the Times said.
