SACRAMENTO, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- Jurors in California deliberated for three hours before finding a Stockton bus driver responsible for a crash that killed 11 people, court records indicate.
Quintin Watts was convicted of 11 counts of gross vehicular manslaughter and 21 counts of great bodily injury, The Sacramento Bee reported Friday.
Authorities say Watts apparently dozed off Oct. 5, 2008, sparking a rollover accident in Colusa County that left 11 people dead and nearly three dozen others injured.
Among the dead was bus company owner Daniel Cobb, 68, Watts' stepfather.
Many of the passengers were elderly Hmong and Mien immigrants on a gambling trip from the Sacramento area to the Colusa Casino Resort.
Following the jury verdict Thursday, sentencing was set for Nov. 4.
