NEW DELHI, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- India's defense minister has released a new security manual with instructions for defense personnel on how to handle emerging threats in the country.
Indian Defense Minister A.K. Antony released the manual, entitled Manual of Security Instructions 2008, on Monday.
Antony said the manual, an updated edition of a previous security instruction guide, is designed to provide detailed instructions for security guards and officers on how to handle evolving threats in India, the Indian Ministry of Defense reported.
"The updated manual will help ensure a safer and more secure environment," Antony said, according to the release.
"The Manual of Security Instructions 2008 is a comprehensive compilation of security instructions issued from time to time to keep pace with the changing security environment."
