Corredor-Ibague and Yanave-Rojas are suspected of drug trafficking and other narco-terrorist activities with Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia, or FARC, an organization listed as a terrorist group by the United States.

Justice officials allege that Corredor-Ibague engaged in controlled clandestine airstrips in Colombia for drug trafficking purposes tied to FARC. Yanave-Rojas is charged with allegedly manufacturing and attempting to distribute cocaine in the United States to finance FARC operations.

"The extradition of the defendants was achieved through the efforts of attorneys from the Office of International Affairs of the Justice Department's Criminal Division, the Judicial Attaches in the United States Embassy in Bogota, Colombia, and multiple U.S. federal law enforcement agencies," the release said.
