Al Adala newspaper, established by Adil Abdul Mehdi, a member of the Iraqi United Alliance, commented on Friday that security is a feeling processed inside human beings that may lead to the fear of the unknown, or defeat the fear to make human beings feel secure and alive.

The editorial with the headline, "The latest terrorist attacks and the factors behind renewed terrorism," said the danger people face now will drain and its traces will fade to turn Iraq into a land for people to step toward great hope.

"The land of Iraq will be soon a source of envy for the enemy, and a source of admiration for friends," it said. "This is a small introduction to the security in Iraq after many equations changed."

The editorial said the people of Iraq have been patient to witness a real "success" resulting from law or what the U.S. administration calls "the surge."

In February 2006, the Iraqi government and U.S. forces in Iraq announced the surge to eliminate militia groups that carried out attacks against Iraqis and the U.S. and Iraqi forces. The United States has sent extra troops to Iraq to "assist" troops in their missions. Due to that, hundreds were killed and arrested, and walls were built around many areas in Baghdad to prevent "terrorists" from using them as safe havens.

"The people of Iraq consider the surge as a parallel project to the political experiment project which gives hope to security that would lead to a revival of social and economic sectors," the paper said.

It added that another element to "stability" was to "close the doors" to terrorists who occupy areas after distributing sectarian violence.

"The social element is represented by civil committees that supported the Iraqi security forces to surround the terrorists groups and try to eliminate them," it said.

Al Adala said the "surge" granted credibility to the regional and international committees that bet on democracy in Iraq.

"The Awakening Council groups must be reviewed and their relations must be monitored in case they still have connections with terrorist leaders," it said.

The Awakening Councils might rebuild their capacities to attacks Iraqi security forces, it said.

It added the Iraqi security forces should consider the possibility of the formation of new enemies that are different from known enemies.

"We need to be prepared for the creation of a new enemy so our forces are ready to move fast toward ending it in accordance to the law of constitutional principles," it said.
