BAGHDAD, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- An Arab League delegation concluded its visit to Iraq Wednesday with promises of national conciliation as the Iraqi prime minister released the 2008 budget.

The spokesman for the Iraqi government, Ali al-Dabbagh, said the group met with various ministers, including the deputy prime minister of economic affairs.

Dabbagh also said the team met with the Iraqi National Reconciliation Committee to discuss Arab-Iraqi relations.

Meanwhile, Voices of Iraq said Wednesday the presidential council sent the federal and general amnesty law to the Justice Ministry.

Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Burham Saleh also said on the economic front that the United States needs to help transform the Iraqi economy into a Western, free-market economy.

"I call on the U.S. side to help Iraq to turn from the state-control economy into the free one, mainly after the great improvement of the security situation," Saleh said at a joint economic forum Wednesday.

Saleh said the forum would go until Friday and stressed economic improvement needs to move in coordination with the improvements on the security front.
