Bombing near school kills Thai soldier

BACHO, Thailand, June 15 (UPI) -- A bomb detonated near a school in Bacho, Thailand, killing one soldier and wounding three others Tuesday while they were on patrol, officials said.

Police said the bomb was triggered by a mobile device as the soldiers were patrolling on foot to provide security for teachers heading to a school in the violence-plagued Yala province, the Thai News Service reported.
